Answering the Call

"ANSWERING THE CALL" with controversial Pastors Joe Wright and Terry Fox airs Sunday night from 6PM-8PM.
During 2005 and 2006 Pastors Wright and Fox hosted a "LIVE CALL- IN TALK RADIO PROGRAM" named "Answering The Call". Much of the shows national success was due to two pastors talking about the two subjects you are never suppose to mix; religion and politics! Every broadcast found these two pastors trying to contrast the humanistic "world view" with the Biblical "world view".
Pastor Joe Wright said, “Most probably would agree, whether liberal or conservative, Christian or non-Christian, democrat, republican, or independent, young or old, there has never been a more "charged" political climate in the history of our world!! Thus, many former fans of the program have asked for it to come back.”
The show was first aired on a local Wichita station, and then over the next two years, due to it's success, was expanded to reach Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Texas. Then it was picked up by Sirius Satelite Radio and covered the entire nation and calls were answered from most every state in the union!
IN 2004, The Wichita Eagle ran pictures on their front page of conservative pastors Joe Wright and Terry Fox, designating them among their annual Editorial Staff's"12 PEOPLE TO WATCH IN KANSAS IN 2005"! The Eagle showcased the movers and shakers who would help shape the city and state. Wright and Fox, then pastors of the two largest protestant evangelical churches in Wichita, had been instrumental in passing an amendment to the Kansas Constitution to define marriage as being only between a man and a woman. The pastors have received national coverage and interviews in newspapers across the country, from The New York Times to The Los Angeles Times!
Pastor Wright is known by many as "The Pastor With Guts", for his famous "Prayer Of Repentance" delivered in 1996, before The Kansas State House, where a number of elected representatives walked out on him. Paul Harvey featured the story the next day on his national radio program, and his office later reported that they had more response to it than anything they had presented before, in their 32 year radio history!! Today, 14 years later, some call it "The Prayer That Won't Die".
Answering The Call, is syndicated by Mid America Network, based in Wichita and will be launched in select radio markets throughout Kansas and Oklahoma. Ron Metzinger, General Manager of Mid America Network says, “with the popularity of the program we already have interest from radio stations in other top 100 markets to air the show.”
